Yesterday afternoon, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) pulled FISA Section 702 from the agenda at the last minute, but he’s hoping to win support to bring it to the floor today.
Pressure from grassroots supporters like you has FORCED the statists to pull back on a “clean” renewal of Section 702, which gives the government unconstitutional powers to spy on you and me without a warrant.
We have NEVER been closer to restoring your right to a warrant requirement BEFORE the government can spy on you!
But now, House leadership is hoping to fool you with a weak amendment that only triggers a warrant requirement if evidence of a crime is uncovered during a warrantless search of American citizens!
Offered by Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA), this disastrous amendment does NOTHING to protect innocent Americans from warrantless searches!
