*The project Role
*
The focus of this role is to ensure that the processes, finances and administration used in the ERDF funded Invest in D2N2 project, by Nottingham City Council and partners comply with ERDF and City Council regulations. The role is the compliance lead on the 5M+ project, working with partners to ensure it meets for example publicity, procurement and financial regulations.

The role is based in Loxley House with some travel for meetings or to support events in the D2N2 region. Currently it is home based.

Day to day work includes liaising with partners, ensuring records are compliant, and entering records to build the quarterly claim to MHCLG.

*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:*

- Experience of financial management of large (2M+) multi partner funded projects including the aggregation and submission of financial and output evidence, budget preparation, resource planning and financial forecasting
- Accuracy and attention to detail in order to manage risk and prevent financialand reputational damage
- the ability to develop and manage highly complex sets of data whilst hitting tight deadlines
- Stakeholder and partnership management skills within the public sector or similar environment
- A collaborative team player who can build positive relationships and work effectively across internal and external boundaries and achieve results through others.

Nottingham City Council provides residential care for children and young people from 10 to 18 years old. We have 12 homes including semi-independent houses based around the city. Our aim is to make our homes places where each child and young person is able to contribute positively to their environment and develop important skills that will equip them for adult life. As a children's residential social care worker you will work as part of an energetic team, but also be prepared to lone work with young people; providing around the clock care and supervision to children and young people in a children's home or semi-independent house with the support of the home management team. If you are passionate about supporting children and young people in care and feel you could find ways to help children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, this maybe the role for you!

To apply for this role we would like you to respond to the following items taken from the personal specification for this role for your personal statement:

* Awareness of the principles behind the Children Acts 1989 and 2000, Leaving Care Act 2000 and Criminal Justice Act 1994
* An understanding of the social, cultural, physical and emotional needs of children, especially those with challenging behaviour.
* Awareness of safeguarding processes and relevant safety issues.
* Ability to motivate individual or groups of children through social and leisure activities, towards developing personal and social skills.
* Ability to contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation and monitoring of individual care programmes for children in key-working or co-working capacity. This will include working with families where there is a plan for a young person to return home. It will also include planning for young people into independence.
* Motivated to work with children who demonstrate challenging behaviour in a residential setting.
