BIG NEWS! Ilhan Omar has won her primary for Congress in Minnesota's 5th District!
With Ilhan's victory alongside Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's earlier win in New York and Rashida Tlaib's win last week in Michigan -- and with Ayanna Pressley running unopposed in the Massachusetts primary -- voters have given a big HELL YES to The Squad and their unapologetic progressive agenda!
There's more! This weekend, bold progressive Beth Doglio advanced to the general election in Washington's 10th Congressional District, and Kai Kahele won the Democratic primary in Hawaii's deep blue 2nd Congressional District. CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH! Jamaal Bowman (NY-16), Mondaire Jones (NY-17), Ritchie Torres (NY-15), and Marie Newman (IL-03) also all won decisive primaries in June.
We've raised over $31 million over the years for progressive candidates and committees, including hundreds of thousands in recent months for candidates this cycle. PCCC members donated $150,000 via over 17,900 donations to keep Ilhan in Congress alone!
- Dana Balter won a primary to finish the job she started in 2018, flipping a red NY congressional seat.
- Kara Eastman won her primary in NE to finish the job she started last cycle -- flipping a Nebraska purple district to blue!
- Candace Valenzuela won her primary in TX in a district that just got upgraded from "leans Republican" to "toss up."
- Mike Siegel won his primary so he can unseat a TX Republican who votes with Trump 96.4% of the time, and that he came within an ace of defeating in 2018.
- J.D. Scholten is a populist and former baseball player who came 3 points from defeating white nationalist Congressman Steve King in 2018 -- and now faces King's Republican challenger in IA.
- Jon Hoadley is running to defeat one the top Republicans on the Energy & Commerce Committee and one of the worst climate enemies in Congress.
- Sen. Ed Markey is AOC's and Elizabeth Warren's ally and was the first senator to endorse a Green New Deal, and the first senator to reject campaign cash from the Fraternal Order of Police that opposes reform.
- Georgette Gomez is running for an open blue seat in CA against an heiress whose billionaire grandparents bankrolled her campaign.
- Beth Doglio is a long-time environmental activist running for an open blue seat in WA.
Thanks for being a bold progressive.
