The common thread between the election of Donald Trump, the wreckage of COVID-19, and the protests against injustice in our streets is a government that has not listened to its people.

I have spent the last weeks criss-crossing the state and listening. Showing up. Making more than 50 stops last weekend alone. Hearing from our cities and towns that have been left behind by the politics and politicians of the past. People who are ready for change.

That’s why it was so important to me, on that stage, to tell your stories. To stand up for you. To amplify your voice.
