John, My liberal Democrat opponent is spending more than a million dollars a week on media attack ads against me, John, and he's taking things to a new low. Jaime Harrison's latest hit job suggests that I misuse taxpayer dollars. It's a shameful deceit. My office does such a good job stewarding tax dollars that we actually RETURN money to the U.S. Treasury every year – a rarity on Capitol Hill. In fact, we have returned a whopping $4.5 MILLION in taxpayer funds allotted for my Senate office that we frugally saved. It's a real shame, John, but with national Democrats and Hollywood elites bringing all their influence to bear – and a record-setting amount of cash to fund unlimited radio, TV, and internet hatchet jobs against me – that's just how low this is going.
