WILL President Rick Esenberg joined Steve Scaffidi on 620WTMJ to discuss the dubious legality of Governor Tony Evers's new emergency declaration. Rick emphasized that the new emergency declaration may be illegal, but the state legislature could quickly rescind the emergency if they are willing to take the vote.

Esenberg writes the decisions is a "reminder that liberty can be served by legal limitations on the state’s general authority as well as the protection of specified freedoms."

Research Director Will Flanders joined The Morning News with Matt and Earl on WTAQ to discuss the findings of WILL's new report on Wisconsin's high-performing school deserts. WILL identified 134 Wisconsin ZIP codes with 40,000 school-age children that have no high-performing school options within ten miles.

WILL filed an amicus brief in Washington v. DeVos, a second legal challenge in federal court over a federal Education Department interim rule about CARES Act relief for private schools. Washington v. DeVos is a similar legal challenge to Michigan v. DeVos, a case WILL also filed an amicus in with 38 state and national groups.
