Friend, Just a few moments ago, the presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden, announced his pick for Vice President, Kamala Harris. For the first time in history, the American people will have the opportunity to elect the first woman and, specifically, the first Black and Asian American woman, as Vice President - one of the highest offices in the country. As you know, I’m laser focused on Missouri’s 8th District, and don’t often wade into presidential politics, but this felt momentous: come November, Missourians will have the opportunity to vote for strong, women candidates all across the state. Whether it’s Nicole Galloway, Alissia Canady, Vicki Englund, Cori Bush, Lindsey Simmons, Jill Schupp, Gena Ross, or the dozens of State Representative & State Senate candidates, women are ready to take back our state. I first decided to run for office after attending the Women’s March in Washington where I was struck by the need to take greater political action within my community. I joined hundreds of thousands of women that day, and I’m so honored to be joining them on the ballot in November.
