ADL issued improved grades for 11 universities after post-release consultations with dozens of institutions prompted several to adopt new policies, trainings and campus initiatives. This further boosted engagement with 89% of the 150 assessed schools now having worked with ADL to inform its findings. ADL’s VP of Advocacy Shira Goodman said “We continue to see progress -- more schools are taking steps to improve the campus experience for Jewish students, staff and faculty. But this work requires sustained vigilance." See

briefly on lockdown after an individual made threatening antisemitic statements. Hillel added that campus police and local law enforcement “moved swiftly to find and detain the individual.” A university representative later said that no danger remains, and described the alleged suspect as “an individual in crisis who had made threatening statements.” ADL’s regional office reached out to offer support to the Hillel after the incident and commended the swift and compassionate work of law enforcement in responding to the antisemitic threat.

Campus Seders. From Nashville to Gainesville, universities are showing what strong Jewish campus life can look like. At Vanderbilt University, around 600 students gathered for a

largest single-seated Seder in the country at University of Florida. Both events brought together Jewish and non-Jewish participants for shared tradition, learning and connection. “This is more than a Seder — it’s a powerful statement of Jewish pride, unity, and resilience,” said Rabbi Berl Goldman of Chabad UF. At a time of rising campus tensions, Hillels and Chabads across the country hosted seders for Jewish students, and these two stood out in a big way for ensuring Jewish students felt visible, supported and proud of their identity.

Jewish Students in the UK. A new poll of British students highlights troubling signs about the campus climate, with one in five respondents saying they would be reluctant to have a Jewish student as a roommate. In the same survey, 23% said they had witnessed behavior that targeted Jewish students for their religion or ethnicity. The study was conducted for the Union of Jewish Students; the group’s president Louis Danker warned that “a new wave of student activism” was interrupting campus life with protests and disruption to classes. Campus Crossroads: Non-Jewish Student Perceptions of Jews and Israel, " released in March 2026, reveals troubling findings about the broader campus climate as well, including how 48.3% of non-Jewish college students reported witnessing or experiencing anti-Jewish behavior on campus or in campus-related digital spaces in the past year.

It’s The Right Time to Speak Up. In a powerful op-ed, Miami University student leader Nick Barry reflected on why he brought a resolution condemning antisemitism to the Ohio school’s student government -- and what its success showed about the campus climate. After earlier efforts failed, Barry intentionally introduced a “clean, depoliticized” measure this year, which passed overwhelmingly. His takeaway: when antisemitism is clearly defined as “hatred toward Jewish people on the basis of religion or ethnicity,”

most students are ready to stand up. Barry argues the real challenge isn’t disagreement - it’s hesitation, with too many students worried that speaking out will be misinterpreted. “Too many of us worry that condemning antisemitism will be misread as taking some other stance we do not mean to take, so we end up saying nothing at all.” This time, the vote sent a simple but powerful reminder that campuses can still choose clarity over silence.
