Dear friend,

It’s official: Senator Kamala Harris is Joe Biden’s pick for vice president.
What an exceptional team they will make … and a historic one, too.

When Sen. Harris accepts the nomination next week at the Democratic National
Convention, she will become the first Black woman and the first AAPI woman to be
a vice-presidential candidate for a major political party. A daughter of
immigrants, Sen. Harris will make even more history — shattering one of the
whitest and most notorious glass ceilings in our country along the way if
elected as our next vice president.

Time and time again, Sen. Harris has shown herself to be a fighter and an LGBTQ
champion. She has been an outspoken advocate for the LGBTQ community throughout
her groundbreaking career, advocating for us when many, even sometimes those
within her own party, did not.

Together with Biden, they make up the most pro-equality and one of the most
diverse presidential tickets our nation has ever seen. We need to elect them —
and united I know we can! As a steadfast supporter of the Human Rights Campaign, I urge you to join me
and millions nationwide as we unite like never before to send them both to the
White House.

While COVID-19 may have changed our election plans, there are still so many ways
you can have a powerful impact:

* Download our TEAM app and help us get out the vote.
[[link removed]] Listen, everything is more digital these days. That’s why our political team
has built an easy-to-use mobile platform with the tools you need to get to
work wherever you may be. From updates on our progress in races nationwide to
ways to take action on your time, they have you covered.
* Make phone calls to voters in key priority states.
[[link removed]] If we want to win in November, we must turn out as many Equality Voters as
we can. To do so, we have identified several battleground states where we can
have the most impact both in the presidential election and in key down ballot
races. Sign up today from the comfort of your home!

* Check your voter registration status and request a mail ballot.

— then take a moment to ask your loved ones to do the same.

As I said above, equality is on the ticket like never before, but so is the very
stability of our country and our democracy.

If 2020 has shown us anything, it is just how unfit our current administration
is to lead this country. From shrugging off the seriousness of a global pandemic
that has killed over 162,000 Americans to stoking the flames of hatred and
prejudice, Donald Trump and Mike Pence have left a trail of devastation in their
wake. … and it’s up to us to make sure it doesn’t go on for four more years.

Another four years of their vitriol and shoddy leadership would be a catastrophe
that would take lifetimes to recover from. We need Joe Biden and Kamala Harris —
real leaders — in the White House!

I am proud beyond measure to have two such incredible LGBTQ allies fighting for
us and our country. That is why I am committed to doing all in my power to help
and, with HRC members like you beside us, we will be unstoppable. Let’s get to
work.
