Safe Restart Agreement

As our economy gradually re-opens, the Liberal government is continuing to take strong action to keep Canadians safe, healthy, and supported. With the launch of the new Safe Restart Agreement, cities and towns have the support they need to deliver the vital services Canadians rely on.


International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples

On August 9, we celebrated International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples. As we celebrate the traditions, values, cultures and strengths of Indigenous peoples in Canada and around the world, this day also serves as a reminder that reconciliation calls on all of us to confront our past, our biases and actions, and commit to an equitable future.

Fish Harvester Benefit and new Fish Harvester Grant

Fish harvesters are at the heart of so many of Canada’s coastal communities, and the Liberal government is working to position the sector for a healthy recovery. This month, the Fish Harvester Benefit and new Fish Harvester Grant is open for application, making it the single largest investment in Canada’s fisheries in nearly two decades.


Canada Emergency Commercial Rent Assistance program

Your Liberal team is working to keep hard to protect jobs and small businesses, and to keep hard working Canadians on the payroll. As of July 21, 2020, the Canada Emergency Commercial Rent Assistance program has benefitted 307,000 employees and 24,000 small businesses.
