Hey, did you hear the amazing news?

My friend and fellow Howard University alumnus, Kamala Harris, is officially joining the Democratic ticket as our candidate for Vice President!

I know Kamala will be a capable, courageous leader for all Americans. I look forward to voting for her and Joe Biden in just 84 days (and I can’t wait to watch the Vice Presidential debates).

Kamala has shown time and time again that she is a champion for all Americans. She is tough, principled, and fearless. She understands the importance of doing good work to improve the lives of the American people — from accessible health care, to child care, to affordable housing.

And I want you to know: I am forever grateful for Kamala’s help when I first ran for U.S. Senate in Mississippi in 2018. She came to Mississippi to help get out the vote and spend time with voters.

This year, 2020, is our chance to flip the Senate, elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, to make real change — and with your grassroots support, we can make it happen.
