Axios: GOP weighs health care cuts to pay for Iran war

That's right. President Trump and the Congressional Republicans who enable him want to gut even more of our federal health spending to pay for a war that Americans do not want.

Since the Republican budget, aka the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, passed last year, we are seeing closures and layoffs as hospitals and health care facilities across the country face insolvency.

Now, Congressional Republicans are trying to reduce even further the amount of federal spending on health care to finance Trump's unwise, unpopular, unnecessary, and unauthorized war in the Middle East – costing Americans millions of dollars in taxpayer money. 

Health care should not be a privilege, John. It's a human right. 

So while Congressional Republicans keep showing that their loyalty is to President Trump – as they did when they shut down the entire federal government last fall (rather than make health care just a little more affordable for people) and now that they’re keeping the Department of Homeland Security shut down (rather than making simple and popular reforms to how ICE operates) – I promise to continue making working families my priority. 

I am working to lower costs, expand access, and improve care for every American. And I will always do everything in my power to push back against the Trump Administration's reckless and dangerous agenda. 

But I can't continue this fight without you, which is why I'm personally asking: Will you chip in $5 or more to help me continue securing progress for the people and communities of PA-06?
