Dear John:
It couldn’t be clearer right now that NYC needs bold, visionary leaders who respond to crises with creativity and compassion, and confront long-term challenges like deep inequality, crumbling infrastructure, and climate change head on to avert future emergencies. Our city elections next year will have immediate and tangible effects on the lives of millions of New Yorkers.
Brad Lander is running to change the way business is done in NYC -- and right now, that means changing the way we run and fund our campaigns! (See more details in his message previous below.)
We will make it as easy as possible for you, with a toolkit, templates, sample emails, phone scripts, and support. What we need is your help in reaching out to people in your community to help us grow this campaign.
NYC’s public campaign finance program means donations from New Yorkers are matched 8-to1 up to $250. That means a $10 donation translates into $90 for the campaign. So any new donors that you help us connect with will go a long way to grow our campaign.

Thank you so much,
-- Team Lander

Dear John:
We have a lot to accomplish in the next 92 days. Not only are we continuing to build a citywide campaign for next year, we’re also mobilizing volunteers to help Democrats win across the country -- so we can kick Trump out of office, and the Republican Senate majority along with him!
We will be sharing more soon about how to get involved in our get-out-the-vote efforts for Democrats up and down the ballot. But before we can do that, we need to make sure our campaign stays on track.
We’ve set a goal to raise $10,000 before Labor Day through grassroots, peer-to-peer fundraising. It’s an ambitious goal, but we know that we can do it with your help.
I’m asking you to join our new Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Program, to ensure that we have the grassroots support we need to stay competitive into next year.
As a member of our Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Team, you will receive a tool kit and personal ActBlue page to track your progress. Then, we ask you to reach out to your family, friends, and networks about this campaign and the future of our city.
I know this community can do this -- in fact, I’m counting on it. We are running a grassroots race, relying on smaller donations from more New Yorkers to earn the public matching funds that will make citywide campaigning possible.
All donations from NYC residents, up to $250, will be matched 8-to-1. That means getting just one friend to donate $10 translates to $90 for the campaign!
Are you ready to join our Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Program, so we can win this race -- and then bring the tools of the Comptroller’s office to a recovery that ensures an economically-healthy, diverse, more equitable, more sustainable, and more resilient New York City for the long term?
Or, chip in $10 or more to Brad's campaign today to make sure we can stay on track to win →

Thank you so much -- please continue to stay safe and wear a mask,
-- Brad
