Even in the chaos of this moment, gun violence remains a top issue for voters. Americans want to be safe at school, in places of worship, and in their neighborhoods. It's our job in Congress to pass the laws that will ensure they are.

One of my priorities as your representative has been to end the gun violence epidemic in our country. And over the years, my Democratic colleagues and I have taken important steps forward.



But right now, Republicans control all three branches of government. They've not only halted our progress, but they're also trying to roll back the work we've done. From cutting federal funding to weakening background checks on gun sales, they're making us all less safe.
