Every two minutes, our phones ring.

Dear John,

Every two minutes, our phones ring.

On the other end is a woman facing one of the most overwhelming moments of her life. She just discovered she is pregnant. She searched online for an abortion. And in that moment, she often feels completely alone.

So she reaches out. ([link removed] )

A calm voice from our contact center answers. The team member listens, gathers a few details, and connects her with a trained nurse who is prepared for this exact situation.

Decisions move fast in moments like this. An abortion appointment can be scheduled in minutes. Abortion pills can be ordered online with just a few clicks.

When a woman feels overwhelmed and afraid, the pressure to decide can feel immediate.

Reaching her in that moment gives her the chance to pause before making a decision she cannot reverse.

When the nurse joins the call, her role is simple but profound: listen first.

She listens to the mom’s story and helps her slow down enough to process what she is facing. Instead of pressure, the mom hears calm guidance from someone trained to respond with compassion and Christ-like care.

From there, the nurse helps her explore real options.

She may refer her for a free ultrasound at a nearby pregnancy center. She may also begin identifying the practical challenges pushing the mom toward abortion, such as housing concerns, financial stress, or fear of being abandoned.

76% of women who contact us say they would prefer to parent if their circumstances were different. The nurse helps uncover those circumstances and begins addressing them.

Instead of facing the situation alone, the mom now has a team walking with her. Counselors, pregnancy centers, and church partners provide practical and spiritual support throughout pregnancy and beyond.

This is what happens every day through our Telecare program. A frightened mom reaches out. A compassionate nurse responds with Christ-like care. And a moment of crisis can begin to turn toward hope.

If you’d like to see a deeper look at how Telecare works and how these conversations unfold, you can read more about it here: humancoalition.org/impact/blog/what-is-telecare-and-how-does-it-help-rescue-children/ ([link removed] )

I’m grateful you’re here as we work together to make abortion unthinkable and unnecessary.

Standing with you for life,

Michael Lewandowski
