In one week, Democrats across the country will (virtually) gather at the Democratic National Convention to officially nominate Joe Biden to be our candidate to take on Donald Trump. At Emerge we’re gearing up to be a part of the festivities — and we’d love for you to join us!

All three events are part of commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. On August 18th at 12 pm ET /11 am CT we’re hosting Democratic women candidates for Congress for a Twitter town hall discussion about the priorities and policies that women on the ballot want to see pushed forward in Congress.

On August 18th at 3 pm ET / 2 pm CT, we’ll bring together Black women thought leaders and political analysts for a discussion on the 19th Amendment and its lasting impact on Black women's representation in politics today. We’ll be looking back at some of the unsung heroes of the suffrage movement and talk about solutions to build a more equitable system.

Later that day at 6 pm ET / 5 pm CT we’re doing what we do best — hosting a training for women who are looking to take action to affect change in their communities. We’ll cover everything from registering voters to amplifying activism (and a whole lot in between!).

The festivities of the Democratic National Convention this year are on pace to make history in more ways than one. We’re so excited to be a part of this with you!
