Thank you so much for your consistent support. I want you to know that you have my promise that I will always work to defend Social Security. I am proud to be endorsed by the Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare as well as the AARP, and there is a reason they've endorsed me. They know that I have worked hard to make sure that your earned benefits are always there for you. That's why I have supported legislation that would expand benefits for all current and future Social Security recipients, improve the cost of living adjustment, cut taxes for our seniors, and much more.

Through his actions this weekend, President Trump and his administration have declared war on Social Security and Medicare. His unlawful executive action to cut payroll taxes wouldn't help working Americans who are struggling during COVID, but it is a first step to taking away Social Security and Medicare for millions of Americans. The long-term existence of these vital programs is in serious danger if he succeeds in cutting payroll taxes. You can count on me to do everything within my power to stop this reckless action.

When Americans work so hard their entire lives, they shouldn’t have the rug pulled from under them — especially not by having benefits they have paid into for their entire lives taken away. We need to prioritize the health and well-being of our seniors, and I promise to fight for them every single day.
