Eric K. Ward, SPLC senior fellow, will moderate the discussion about Sounds Like Hate. The first episode, “Getting Out,” tells the story of a young woman who was enticed to join an alt-right group that helped organize the August 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville at which protester Heather Heyer was killed by an extremist. In her own words, she explains how she joined the ranks of the alt-right — and why she ultimately decided she needed to get out.
Whether you’ve had a chance to listen already, or you’re excited to learn more about Sounds Like Hate before you dive in, we hope you will join us tomorrow evening. On behalf of our podcast hosts, producers and the entire SPLC team, we are so grateful to have your support.
Sincerely,
Your friends at the Southern Poverty Law Center
