If I go to work, I’m depriving my children of a present mother.

If I bring my newborn with me to work, I’m “using him as a prop” (Yes, a right-wing commentator really said that).

If I try to do my work from home (two weeks after giving birth), I’m abandoning my constituents.

There’s no answer that’s satisfactory to them other than women staying home and staying silent. You know why? Because they know nobody fights harder than a mom.
