An avoidable eviction crisis is now imminent. The expiration of
the top-off on unemployment insurance will tip families who are
barely getting by into desperation. WE SHOULDN'T BE HERE. Three
months ago, House Democrats passed the HEROES Act to extend the
eviction moratorium and unemployment benefits, provide
desperately needed relief for state and local governments, fund
COVID-19 testing and contact tracing, and more.

For over 88 days now, Republicans have refused to negotiate in
good faith to reach a deal to pass this emergency aid package.
Instead, last weekend Trump held a press conference at his golf
resort in Bedminster, New Jersey, to announce a toothless
executive order that placed 'show' over 'substance.' But the
illusion of a solution won't help families desperate for real
help.

Americans are hurting, 40% of renters are on the edge of
eviction, the Post Office is in disarray, states need support to
conduct safe elections, and Republicans are looking the other
way! Each day that Mitch McConnell remains Majority Leader is a
bad day for our country. Rush a donation here to support our
drive to take back the Senate this November and end this
nightmare!

As Republicans play political games, 850,000 Marylanders are now
relying on SNAP for food assistance -- the highest number in two
decades. But McConnell has made it clear that over half of his
Republican members in the Senate are not prepared to vote for any
-- NOT ONE DIME -- of additional emergency assistance to help
struggling Americans.

That's right -- the gang that gave us the billionaire's tax break
thinks that helping families during this pandemic is too
expensive!

Mitch hasn't even tried to hide his contempt for assistance
efforts -- weeks ago, he callously announced we should let states,
cities, and towns go bankrupt. And Trump's so-called executive
order would do just that: providing little, if any, support to
workers, renters and families desperately trying to get by during
this crisis.

Food insecurity, the threat of eviction and loss of health care
during a pandemic ARE NOT A REALITY SHOW -- THEY ARE THE PAINFUL
TRUTH FOR MILLIONS OF AMERICANS. It's long past time to end the
stranglehold of Mitch McConnell and the Republican majority over
the United States Senate. Pitch in here to support our efforts to
take back the Senate and restore a democracy that prioritizes
hard-working Americans, not corporate tax breaks for 3 Martini
lunches.
