Last week, we celebrated the 55th anniversary of the passage of the Voting Rights Act.
Sadly, many Americans are still being silenced by politically motivated voter suppression schemes — which has made the renewed Voting Rights Advancement Act a key priority for Democrats this year.
The House fought for nearly six years to pass a renewed version of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act — but since we passed the legislation in December of last year, it has sat on Mitch McConnell’s desk in the Senate without any action.
We need you to join us in demanding that the GOP-controlled Senate immediately vote on the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to reinstate crucial protections for all American voters:
