John,Our country is suffering from a gun violence
crisis, and Republican leaders don’t seem to care. Following mass
shootings in Texas and Ohio, they offered the same “thoughts and
prayers” over Twitter, but refused to reconvene the Senate to
consider the sensible, life-saving gun legislation Congress sent
them.

If Republicans aren’t going to act at the national level, it’s
time we took the fight local - and put this critical issue
directly in front of our state’s voters.

SIGN THE PETITION
( [link removed] )
Ban Assault Weapons Now has taken to the streets to collect
signatures in an effort to put an assault weapons referendum on
the ballot in 2020. They gathered enough to have their measure
reviewed by the state’s Supreme Court, but in a move straight out
of Mitch McConnell’s playbook, our Republican Attorney General
Ashley Moody is doing all she can to block their proposed
amendment from appearing on the ballot next year.

Let’s send a clear message: we won’t stand for the same old
obstructionism when lives are lost daily to gun violence - not
from Mitch McConnell and not from Ashely Moody.

Ashley Moody and her Republican allies are content to keep
weapons of war on our streets and silence the voices of Florida
voters. We need to fight back.

Sign our petition demanding AG Moody stop her efforts to block
the Assault Weapons Ban from the 2020 ballot:
