Hi, friend, that's me as a kid, crouched in front of my burned-out house, holding the only two things that survived: a ring and a Jesus medallion.

My house burned down the night before my last high school football game. I borrowed a pair of too-tight football pants and played anyway.

After that, my mom and I moved to the Lehigh Valley to start over. I worked every job you can think of: dishwasher, pizza delivery, bartender, beer truck driver. Eventually, I landed my dream job: firefighter for the City of Bethlehem, PA. Did that for 20 years.

Now, I'm a Democrat running for Congress cause I'm tired of working folks getting kicked in the teeth.

My name is Bob Brooks and I'm running to flip PA-07, the #1 tossup seat on the map. Last time, it came down to 4,000 votes. Governor Shapiro, Bernie Sanders, and Pete Buttigieg all got behind this campaign – which is pretty wild for a kid who lost everything in a fire and had to borrow football pants.
