Hi John,

When New Jersey residents need financial relief the most, they are instead getting more taxes thanks to the state’s liberal legislature. During a global pandemic, the liberal governor and legislature decided to impose a tax on state health insurance plans after the federal tax expires. They’re hoping to reimplement a key part of Obamacare that is set to expire this year.

This tax, projected to cost NJ taxpayers about $200 million in 2021, will most hurt the middle class. It is an egregious form of socialism, literally crafted to take money from some and redistribute it to others the state deems worthy. Big government policies are not the answer while families are struggling to stay on their feet amidst an economic downturn. Playing Robin Hood shouldn’t be the government’s job. But liberals in New Jersey are using their legislative majorities to play gamemaster with the future of thousands. We have to stop them.

Sincerely,

Casey Dietrich
