This picture is by Miyajaki Tomiko, who was 34 when the bomb hit Hiroshima. It shows her begging for forgiveness from a stranger she couldn't save.
Dear Friend,

Have you ever seen any of the artwork produced by Hiroshima survivors? These very personal drawings bring home the horror of the attack in a unique way, with each coming with a human story of immense suffering.

These pictures convey the horrors of nuclear weapons so directly and clearly. But as the events of 6th and 9th August 1945 recede further into the past, those horrors are in real danger of being forgotten.

This Autumn, we want to change this; to reach a new audience with videos, animations, graphics, and every other tool available to us, to convey the appaling reality of nuclear war as clearly as the art of Hiroshima survivors does.

We need to raise around £18,000 to do this. Can you help with a donation today? I would be so grateful for your support for this vital campaign.

Support our Hiroshima appeal
Your donation would help ensure that the terrible lessons learned by the survivors of the attacks are not forgotten by future generations.
Together, we can ensure that Hiroshima is never forgotten. Together, we can win a nuclear-free world.

In peace,
Kate Hudson
General Secretary
