Dear Friends,
All over the country ICE agents are being deployed to our airports and it happened right here in Philadelphia.
In Philly, we refused to stay silent. I stood shoulder to shoulder with union members, including TSA workers, demanding that ICE agents be removed. Thanks to the advocacy of workers and our community, ICE is out of the Philadelphia International Airport.
That experience is exactly why I introduced legislation to limit ICE in Philadelphia with Minority Leader Kendra Brooks.
Our ICE Out package protects immigrant communities from overreach, ensures local resources are not used to support federal enforcement, and makes Philadelphia a city where residents can move freely and safely, whether at airports, in neighborhoods, and everyday life. [[link removed]]

Over the past year, my office has worked directly with immigrant communities, partnered with legal and advocacy groups, and built coalitions across neighborhoods and institutions to make this legislation strong and enforceable.
Our public hearing on the ICE Out package is this Monday April 13, at 10am , a critical opportunity to set clear boundaries, protect our communities, and prevent ICE overreach from expanding.
