✅ SB 1377 (Jones) – Vaccine Medical Exemption Protections ( [link removed] [[link removed]] ) has been scheduled for a hearing in the Senate Health Committee on Wednesday, April 15th at 1:30pm.

This is an important opportunity to support legislation that restores a more balanced, physician-led approach to vaccine medical exemptions in California. SB 1377 works to ensure that medical decisions are made between patients and their licensed healthcare providers, rather than through broad administrative oversight.

We are grateful to Senator Brian Jones for his long-standing leadership on this issue and his continued commitment to protecting children and families. Over his 16 years in the Legislature, he has consistently stood up on these issues, including opposing SB 277 in 2015 and SB 276 in 2019.

This is a challenging bill and will face a difficult path through committee. That makes it even more important that legislators hear from constituents and stakeholders now.
