On Monday, the U.S. Senate reconvenes after a two-week-long recess—and with it, the countdown to stop House Joint Resolution 140 and protect the Boundary Waters begins.
HJR 140 is one of the most dangerous attacks on the Boundary Waters we’ve ever seen—it strips away critical, science-based, broadly popular protections from the watershed of the most visited Wilderness in the country, opening its fragile waterways to copper mining and putting these pristine waters at permanent risk.
Executive Director Ingrid Lyons will be on the ground in Washington, D.C., all week—meeting directly with lawmakers and making sure your voice is heard loud and clear.
