Donald Trump has tried to change the subject from his disastrous mass deportation agenda. Because he knows it’s extremely unpopular.

But across the country, children and families are still being imprisoned in ICE detention – and I refuse to be silent about it.

That’s why this week I visited THREE immigration facilities in Texas to meet with families being detained and push for their immediate release.

On Monday, I visited a facility in San Antonio holding children and families. On Tuesday, I visited a facility in San Benito for pregnant teenage girls. And on Wednesday, I returned to the Dilley ICE detention facility to meet with children and families who have been imprisoned by ICE.

Let me be clear: nearly all of the people in these facilities have ZERO criminal record.

Families imprisoned for months. Pregnant girls being treated like criminals. Infants and babies not getting the care they need. These are the results of Trump’s mass deportation agenda.

I’m using my oversight authority to inspect these facilities, meet with families, and fight for their release however possible. But keeping these children and families in the spotlight requires resources.
