Now you may not realize it from this image, but we were actually ahead of one of the candidates in this poll. In fact -- in several of the polls released this week -- we have been leading more than one of the candidates in this graphic.

I’ll admit I’ve never been a politician before, but the treatment of our rising national poll results has been odd and confusing. That said, this tells me one thing -- it’s important for us to send a message before the September debate that our movement is real and growing. And, most importantly, cannot be ignored.

We can send a giant message to everyone watching if we blow past our August fundraising goals, but that would take everyone on this team pitching in everything they can. Can I count on you to rush a contribution now?

If we were to beat expectations for August fundraising ahead of the next debate, we would force the networks and everyone in the media to pay attention and increase coverage of our campaign.

This would also allow new voters to hear our message and be introduced to me as one of the leading candidates.

The trend of this campaign is already very positive -- think where we could be if we received the same level of coverage as folks like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Joe Biden.
