This is what a broken House looks like

John,

Today, Congressional Democrats tried to introduce a War Powers Resolution to force a vote on the illegal war in Iran.

I was there. Ready to act. Instead, the Republican presiding officer refused to recognize us and gaveled the entire House out of session. To be clear: Republicans refused to let us speak. They ran away and sent all of Congress home.

This is unacceptable.

I showed up today to do my job — to push for accountability and make sure you have a voice. Republican leadership wouldn’t allow us to do the basic function of our jobs. The House is broken. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and the contrast couldn’t be clearer. We have to win a Democratic majority in November.

If you agree we need a House that actually functions — not one that gets gavelled shut to avoid doing its job — please make a donation today.
