After almost forty days of fighting, the US and Iran reached a ceasefire
deal.

This came after President Trump shocked the world by threatening to
destroy Iranian civilization. The two-week ceasefire agreement is highly
fragile and it is unclear if it will even hold as Israeli operations in
Lebanon continue and Iran is still not allowing free passage of ships
through the Strait of Hormuz. Despite the tremendous cost of this war,
essentially none of the American and Israeli objectives have been
achieved.
