Just 55 Days Until the Primary
We’re on the final countdown to the primary! The ballots will be hitting mailboxes in May. Watch for yours, and then vote for Tessa Lynn Hodge for US House of Representatives! We know that the Trump administration is trying to target mail-in voting, so be sure to turn your ballot in ASAP, or you can vote in person on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Endorsement Alert
California State Senator Thomas J. Umberg just endorsed Tessa Lynn Hodge for Congress. Senator Umberg is the Chair of the Senate’s Judiciary Committee. He is a retired U.S. Army Colonel, former federal criminal prosecutor, four-term state legislator, small business owner, and was the deciding vote to legalize gay marriage in California. Tessa is honored to have his endorsement.
No Kings Protests Were A Big Success
On March 26, over 8 million people across the country and world protested against the unconstitutional policies of the second Trump administration, and against Trump’s enablers currently in Congress. Tessa and her team had a great time talking to many constituents at No Kings events in Victorville and Big Bear.
Canvassing Events
In the last month, we’ve had three canvassing events where 35 people have knocked on close to a thousand doors. It has been so rewarding communicating with people who care about District 23 and what is happening in our country. Join us on an upcoming Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm to canvass our neighbors to get the vote out for Tessa Lynn Hodge. Email

Meet and Greet in Yucca Valley Hosted by Sharon Fain on April 26
Join us at a Meet and Greet to share your concerns and ask questions of Tessa Lynn Hodge, the Democratic Party endorsed candidate for Congress in California-23. May Events
We’re looking forward to a busy and productive campaign in May in preparation for the Primary on June 2, 2026. Here are just two of the events on our calendar so far…
* Voter Outreach Fair on Saturday, May 2, from 10 am to 4 pm at Victorville Senior Citizens Club, sponsored by the High Desert Progressive Democrats.
* Sunday, May 3, 2026 - Joint Canvassing event for Tessa Lynn Hodge and Randall Putz in Hesperia. Meet up at Badass Coffee at 10 am.
As I mentioned at the beginning of the newsletter, we are on the final countdown before the primary election. I am asking for you to work with me to defeat Jay Obernolte and bring new progressive People over Party ideas to the U.S. Congress.
I love hearing from people in the 23rd District. Let’s work together to build community as we build a better world.
