CAMPAIGN UPDATE
Josh Mertzlufft for State Senate
The people of the 60th Senate District need someone who shares their values and will always fight for them. They need someone with a love of Western New York, who will always fight to protect and improve our region.
They need Josh Mertzlufft.
Josh is a lifelong Western New Yorker, and he currently resides in Hamburg with his wife and young son. Born and raised here, Josh earned a degree in Applied Physics from Houghton College and later a law degree from the University of Buffalo School of Law. In switching from engineering to practicing law, Josh was driven by a desire to bring people together for creative problem-solving. It’s that commitment to solving the problems we face that compelled Josh to run for Senate in the seat now vacated by newly elected Congressman Chris Jacobs.
Josh’s top priorities include making New York’s economy business-friendly, relieving families and job creators from high tax burdens, supporting our police, repealing cashless bail, empowering judges and juries to administer fair justice, and helping our schools receive the bigger share of resources and funding they deserve.
Most importantly, Josh is running for the State Senate because he believes in Western New York, our people, and our potential. Josh Mertzlufft is hard-working and enthusiastic about running for Senate. His forward-thinking agenda of fiscal conservatism and pragmatic policy-making is an ideal fit for the 60th District, and his youthful vigor and drive to help his community make him a rising star and formidable candidate.
