Dear A.,

AIPAC released the statement below regarding the Iran ceasefire announcement:

Over the past several weeks, the United States and Israel have embarked upon a historic campaign to degrade and destroy the offensive capabilities of a regime that relentlessly attacked both nations for the past 47 years. Under President Trump's leadership, and through the courageous actions of American service members — including our 13 fallen heroes — and their Israeli counterparts, the senior leadership of a regime that has terrorized the world and its own people met its just demise.

The joint operation has been a powerful demonstration of the strategic alliance between the United States and Israel, and the value to America of a strong and capable ally like the Jewish state. The integration and coordination between the two militaries has been unprecedented and the result of decades of partnership and collaboration. We applaud the Republican and Democratic leaders in Congress who have helped ensure our ally has the resources to protect its families from the threat posed by Iran and its proxies.

We urge the administration to now use the strengthened leverage it achieved through this operation to secure a deal with Iran that permanently and verifiably ends its nuclear program — including its ability to enrich uranium. Any agreement must also address what remains of Iran’s ballistic missile and drone program, cut off its support for terror groups around the region, and ensure freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Any sanctions relief for Iran must be contingent on Iran meeting these core requirements. Per the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act, any agreement with Iran must be presented to Congress for review.

Contact Congress: Oppose Dangerous Resolutions to Block Arms to Israel

Senator Bernie Sanders
[link removed]
said today that he will force a vote in the Senate to block critical arms sales to Israel.

This dangerous effort undermines Israel’s security as our ally confronts the Iranian regime in cooperation with the U.S. and defending Israelis against Iran’s terror proxy Hezbollah in Lebanon.

TAKE 45 SECONDS: Urge your Senators to vote NO on these resolutions.

Last night, President Trump
[link removed]
announced a two-week ceasefire with Iran. This morning, the president
[link removed]
added , "There will be no enrichment of Uranium, and the United States will, working with Iran, dig up and remove all of the deeply buried (B-2 Bombers) Nuclear 'Dust.'"

Today, the White House published

this memo outlining the key achievements of Operation Epic Fury.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu backed the ceasefire,

saying , "Israel supports President Trump's decision to suspend strikes against Iran for two weeks subject to Iran immediately opening the straits and stopping all attacks on the U.S., Israel and countries in the region."

Later

adding , "We still have some goals to accomplish, and we will achieve them either through agreement or through renewal of the war; we are ready to do so whenever necessary."

IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin

said that during Operation Roaring Lion, Israel "significantly struck all of [Iran's] systems and capabilities, eliminated its leadership, damaged its command and control systems, eliminated many of its commanders, and severely hit its military industries, ballistic missile array, economic targets, and nuclear targets."

Sec. Hegseth: Israel a "brave, capable, and willing ally"
In a
[link removed]
briefing following the ceasefire announcement, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth praised Israel as a "brave, capable, and willing ally."

Adding that, "Together with our Israeli partners, America's military achieved every single objective on plan, on schedule, exactly as laid out from day one. Iran's navy is at the bottom of the sea, whether it is the Soleimani class, their Frigate class, their prized drone aircraft carriers, submarines, mine layers — sunk. Iran's air force has been wiped out. Iran no longer has an air defense — any sort of comprehensive air defense system. We own their skies. Their missile program is functionally destroyed, launchers, production facilities and existing stockpiles depleted and decimated and almost completely ineffective."

"In less than 40 days... CENTCOM, using less than 10% of America's total combat power, dismantled one of the world's largest militaries. The world's leading state sponsor of terrorism proved utterly incapable of defending itself, its people, or its territory. We [used] just a fraction of our strength, and Iran suffered a devastating military defeat," Hegseth said.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine provided a comprehensive update on the operation, stating that the more than "10,000 missions, including 62 bomber missions, 18 of which flew round-trip from the United States," struck "more than 13,000 targets," including 90% of Iran's weapons factories. Additionally, every factory that produced Shahed one-way attack drones was struck, including guidance systems for the drones, and 80% of missile production factories. The regime's solid rocket motor production capability has been "shattered."

He added that, "It will take years for Iran to rebuild any major surface combatants as more than 20 naval production and fabrication facilities have been damaged or destroyed. And nearly 80 percent of Iran's nuclear industrial base was hit, further degrading their attempts to attain a nuclear weapon."

Speaking about the strikes, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir

said , "We will continue striking the Hezbollah terror organization and will utilize every operational opportunity. We will not compromise the security of the residents of northern Israel. We will continue to strike with determination."

added that "as long as Hezbollah continues to threaten our civilians, we will continue to operate against them."

AIPAC-endorsed candidate wins special election in Georgia

AIPAC-endorsed candidate Clay Fuller won last night's special election to represent Georgia's 14th Congressional District.

Voters in northwest Georgia elected a serious and thoughtful leader who understands the vital importance of the U.S.-Israel partnership to America’s national security and reflects the values of thousands of pro‑Israel Georgians committed to a strong and enduring relationship between the two nations. AIPAC looks forward to working with Congressman‑elect Fuller.

Fuller replaces Marjorie Taylor Greene, whose tenure was marked by repeated efforts to undermine the U.S.-Israel relationship and disparage millions of pro‑Israel Americans engaged in the democratic process.

His victory is part of a broader pattern so far this election cycle, with nearly 50 AIPAC‑endorsed pro‑Israel candidates advancing nationwide across both parties — reinforcing that support for the U.S.-Israel partnership remains both good policy and good politics.

The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
