We have MAJOR NEWS! As we approach the deadline for Governor Abigail Spanberger to sign, amend, or veto legislation, a critical bill related to reproductive freedom has been SIGNED:

It’s official: the Right to Contraception Act has been signed into law! This bill protects the right to obtain, provide, and use all forms of contraception. Under the former Republican Governor, Youngkin, it was vetoed in 2024 and 2025. Now, with our Democratic trifecta, it has finally become law. This shows just how far we’ve come!

We are thrilled! This would NOT have happened without your incredible support as we worked to elect pro-abortion rights legislators in 2023 and again last November.

But the work is far from over: As a statutory bill, it can still be changed or repealed at any time by future elected leaders. That is why we still need to keep our eyes on the prize: turning voters out this November for our Reproductive Freedom Amendment, which would also protect the right to access birth control and establish it as a fundamental, constitutional right that cannot be infringed upon.

We must hit the ground running to ensure voters are prepared to turn out and vote to amend the VA constitution to include protecting the right to all forms of reproductive care, from birth control and abortion to IVF and prenatal care.
