Next week is the primary election in Florida, and although Andrew doesn't have a primary opponent, it still means this week is the fundraising cutoff for all candidates before the general election campaign season officially begins.
Andrew's opponents are fighting each other for the Republican nomination right now. The good news is that we've got a leg up on both of them because we've been focused on building a general election campaign this whole time and saving our resources for that. But we got concerned today when I read this in a Florida Politics article..."Democrats are hoping to keep the seat blue despite an aggressive push from the GOP to reclaim it."
You read that right. We're fighting hard to win this seat, but Republicans want it back -- and they're spending heavily to try to make it happen.
We are so grateful for the amount of support we've received from the district and around the state, and we couldn't have gotten this far without you.
