Primary season is in full swing, with 11 states having elections next
month. Getting more candidates on these ballots to publicly commit to put
patients over profits is one of the most important steps we can take right
now toward winning Medicare for All.

Right now is the best moment to ask candidates to sign our Patients Over
Profits pledge — committing to reject campaign contributions from the
corporate health care industry’s executives, lobbyists, and PACs.

We’re looking for volunteers to take action over the coming weeks by
reaching out to politicians in these 11 states and asking them to sign our

We’ve built a robust list of progressive candidates in these states who we
need to sign the Patients Over Profits pledge. Now, we need your help to
reach out to them.

We’ll give you a list of candidates, a template email, and everything else
you need to know. Outreach is easy and can be done on your own time, no
matter where you live.

Last Tuesday, we held a national Patients Over Profits organizing call —
and energy around our pledge is at an all-time high. The outreach we did
on that call even resulted in FOUR new pledge signers! We know this kind
of outreach works; now we just need YOU to help do more of it.

A key part of the path to guaranteeing health care for all is to get big
money out of our political system. That will only happen if we ask more
politicians to sign the pledge.
