Six-time Paralympic medalist Rick Hansen sparked a global movement with his “Man In Motion” World tour – transforming how the world and Canada understands inclusion and the removal of barriers for people with disabilities.
Forty years later, his legacy and ongoing work continues to shape a more accessible, inclusive Canada, and we are honoured to welcome him as a keynote speaker at LIB2026, where his story will once again challenge us to build a better future for all Canadians.

We’re excited to announce Yoshua Bengio, one of the world’s leaders in Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning and AI Safety, as a speaker for LIB2026!
Professor Bengio is a Fellow of both the Royal Society of London and Canada, an Officer of the Order of Canada, a Knight of the Legion of Honor of France, the Co-Chair of the UN’s Independent International Scientific Panel on AI, and Chair of the International AI Safety Report.

The Indigenous Electoral Endowment Fund Breakfast is happening on Friday, April 10.
This fund was created to encourage Indigenous communities to become more involved in the electoral process, and assists with recruiting more Indigenous candidates and helping them get elected.

The 2026 Judy LaMarsh Cocktail Reception will take place on Thursday, April 9.
One of the biggest barriers to women running for office is a lack of financial support – the Judy LaMarsh fund helps provide that support to Liberal women candidates.
