A cup of coffee sits on a table in a cafe opened by a women’s savings group in Honduras.

What's in your cup?

Did you know that Canadians consume more coffee than any other beverage? Yet for all those cups of joe, we don't know much about how it gets to Canada.

We don't know because coffee companies don't need to tell us where their beans come from. Or who picked them. Unless companies are made to report on their supply chains, we have no idea whether we're unintentionally fueling child labour. And isn't just through our coffee, either.

It's not easy to be a conscious consumer, but the good news is that we have the ability to address the worst forms of child labour—right here at home.
