Folks, Texas is now just one of 12 states that haven’t expanded Medicaid — leaving 1.6 million Texans without health care coverage as we pay for other states’ health care.

In Congress, I will fight every single day to ensure Texans have access to quality, affordable health care and lower-cost prescription drugs. My opponents support repealing the ACA which could kick millions of Texans off of their health care—during a pandemic.

Treating lifesaving care as a political issue is wrong, and Texans are suffering because of it. Folks are delaying care, not filling expensive prescriptions, and skipping preventative medical check-ups—we can do better in the richest country in the world.
