I woke up this morning to a Truth Social post from the President that should chill the bone of every American who believes in the Rule of Law.

“A whole civilization will die tonight.”

I spent 26 years in uniform. I was a JAG. I was a military prosecutor. I literally taught the Law of Armed Conflict to future officers at the Air Force Academy.

Threatening to "wipe out a civilization" isn't tough talk or any way to negotiate the end to a war YOU started. It is a public declaration of intent to commit a heinous war crime.

In the military, we have rules. We have the Geneva Conventions. We have a moral and legal obligation to distinguish between combatants and civilians. You don't target civilizations or the infrastructure that keeps them alive.

When a Commander-in-Chief talks like this, it is clear he’s lost his mind, and he’s putting a target on the back of every U.S. service member stationed overseas.

Where the hell is Mike Rounds?

He is a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. He has the direct power to convene hearings, invoke the War Powers Act, and rein in a President who is bringing us dangerously close to a global catastrophe.

His silence is his consent. He is so much of a DC swamp creature that he’s more afraid of a mean tweet than he is of a lawless war that would cost trillions of dollars and countless lives. He has traded serving the people of South Dakota for party-line compliance, and it proves he doesn't have the best interests of our Constitution or us at heart.

I am running as an Independent because we need a Senator who actually knows the law and has the backbone to enforce it. I am asking you to help me defeat Mike Rounds to bring law and order, accountability, and basic decency on behalf of those I represent to Washington. The Constitution doesn't have an escape clause for partisan cowards. We will show Mike Rounds that South Dakota still values integrity.
