*What's New:*

Last week, I
introduced, along with Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein, a major bipartisan
forest management reform bill. The bipartisan legislation increases
active management of federal forests, cuts red tape, reduces frivolous
litigation and gives the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) the tools it needs
to better protect our communities from deadly wildfires.

information on my bipartisan bill, click *HERE [link 1]*.

*Why It
Matters: *

We must protect our communities from deadly wildfires, support
timber jobs and improve forest health, especially as Montanans are
battling the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

That's why I worked tirelessly
with conservationists, wildlife organizations, local leaders, fire
officials, and members from both sides of the aisle to introduce this
major common sense forest management reform bill.

*What's Next: *

I
will continue working with my colleagues in Congress to get this bill
across the finish line and signed into law. We must manage our forests or
else they will manage us.
