Hi John,
At the frontlines of the civil rights movement, Rep. John Lewis was a catalyst of the Voting Rights Act and a beacon of selflessness and morality in Congress. His legacy and civil service are unmatched.
Rep. Lewis is a true American hero who has inspired and will continue to inspire countless heroes to fight for justice and get into “good trouble.”
Shortly before his death, Rep. Lewis wrote, “Voting and participating in the democratic process are key. The vote is the most powerful nonviolent change agent you have in a democratic society. You must use it because it is not guaranteed. You can lose it.”
Thank you for standing with us to strengthen our democracy today,
Nancy
