I’m reaching out today because I want to make sure you saw Oscar's email from a couple of weeks ago -- it’s all about one thing: Momentum.

The polls are looking good here in Texas. In addition to what Oscar mentions below, a new poll from Morning Consult last week has Donald Trump in a statistical tie with Vice President Biden. Which is huge, because the president’s entire election strategy hinges on hanging onto our state.

There are good signs looking down ballot too. John Cornyn’s lead has been slipping lower and lower, and several of our most important state legislature races are also highly competitive.

So we have a lot of steam heading into these critical final months before Election Day. But team, we have to keep our foot on the gas, because Republicans are going to do everything they can to keep their stranglehold on Texas.

The polls are coming in, and things aren’t looking good for Republicans in Texas. In fact, for the first time ever, a new poll from the Dallas Morning News puts Vice President Biden a full five points ahead of Trump.

That’s huge news and it means that every Republican down the ballot -- from John Cornyn in the Senate, to the candidates trying to hang onto their State House seats -- faces an uphill battle to victory this November.

We’re on the cusp of pulling a huge upset in our home state -- but if we want to win, we’re going to have to get as many people to the polls as possible come November, and that work starts now. Will you chip in now to fund our voter registration efforts?

It’s hard to overstate just how incredible this kind of progress is, familia. Numbers like these would have been unheard of only a year ago, and they’re truly a testament to this team.

The work we’ve done to register voters and change the narrative here in the Lone Star State is having a big impact, but we have to stay vigilant, because the other side is going to fight tooth and nail to keep their grip on Texas.

The coronavirus has changed our plans, but they’re just as ambitious as ever.

We’re hard at work making sure that every Texan can exercise their right to vote, and we’re nearly finished with the planning phase of our robust campus recruitment program. More to come on that soon, but this program will bring some of the best and brightest young organizers in the state into the political process.
