I’ll keep this short because we have work to do: late last week, Kathy’s opponent, Rep. Jason Smith, was officially endorsed by President Trump.

For years now, Smith has been a rubber stamp for Trump’s policies, voting to gut the ACA, defund Planned Parenthood, eliminate the EPA, and end protections for pre-existing conditions. It comes as no surprise that Trump is offering his endorsement.

But it demonstrates what we’re up against: corporate and out-of-state interests who exploit our rural areas for their own financial gain and hurt working families at every turn.
