John,
Washington state just passed a bill to combat a critical threat to our national safety: Unregulated, untraceable, and unserialized ghost guns.
Without regulation, these 3D-printed firearms do not require a background check, meaning anyone – including minors and prohibited purchasers – can assemble these deadly weapons at home.
Brady is combating this emerging threat in legislatures across the country, but we can’t win this fight alone. We need to know that we have your support for regulating these deadly ghost guns. Please, John, answer our urgent poll now:

The number of ghost guns that law enforcement recovered from crimes skyrocketed over the last decade. In 2017, law enforcement recovered 1,600 ghost guns. Merely four years later, 19,000 ghost guns were recovered. That’s a 1000% increase in ghost guns recovered from crimes, John. But we have fought this rise, and now recovery rates are slowing.
Washington’s new law significantly strengthens regulations against ghost guns and 3D-printed firearms. We are fighting against a rapidly evolving threat, and it is the widespread legislative action against unregulated ghost guns that are making each and every one of us safer.

Washington Governor Bob Ferguson, Brady Chapter Representative Amanda Wilcox, and I.
Under the Biden administration, life-saving progress occurred through executive actions to properly classify dangerous ghost guns as firearms, subjecting them to existing, common-sense firearms regulations. But, to no one's surprise, the gun lobby is still trying to roll back our progress.
The Trump Administration's favoritism towards the gun industry means federal policies against gun violence could be on the chopping block any day. That’s why it is crucial that we keep working in the states to mitigate the threat of ghost guns.
Brady is leading the charge for gun violence prevention policies at the state level, but we can’t win this fight alone. We need to show an outpouring of support for regulating these deadly ghost guns. Please, John, answer our urgent poll now:

Ghost guns are a national threat to which we must respond – and that’s exactly what Brady is doing. We won’t stand down to the gun lobby and the Trump administration– or their deadly agenda. Your support helps us keep fighting.
Thanks for being in this fight with us, John.
