The harmful consequences were immediate and devastating when President Trump and his allies in Congress passed a bill to "defund" Planned Parenthood last year.

They did this to shut down Planned Parenthood by trying to block Medicaid patients from using their insurance to get care at Planned Parenthood health centers. In just a few months, dozens of Planned Parenthood health centers were forced to close — leaving many patients with no place to go for wellness exams, STI testing and treatment, birth control, cancer screenings and more.

Now President Trump's allies in Congress are trying to extend and make permanent the cruel "defunding" law. They will do anything they can to control our health care decisions and force their personal beliefs on the rest of us — even if it means hurting patients who can't afford care. We. Won't. Let.
