Call for Artists: 2026 NDEAM Poster Art Competition

2025 Texas NDEAM Poster

The Texas Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities (GCPD) is now accepting submissions for the 2026 National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) Poster Art Competition.

Every October, GCPD proudly features the work of a *Texas artist with a disability* in its annual NDEAM poster. The selected artwork is reproduced and distributed across the state to help promote disability employment awareness and celebrate the value, talent, and contributions of Texans with disabilities in the workforce. Last year, more than 2,000 posters were distributed to businesses, organizations, and partners across Texas.

*Who Can Participate*

Texas artists with disabilities are encouraged to submit original artwork for consideration.

*What to Submit*

Each entry must include:


* A high-resolution digital image of the original artwork
* A completed and signed entry form [ [link removed] ]
* A brief artist statement
* A short explanation of how the artwork connects to employment

All visual art media are welcome. The original artwork does not need to be submitted with the entry.

Please note: The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in submitted artwork is not permitted.

*How to Participate*

Entries may be submitted by email to *[email protected]*.

Color photocopies or image files may also be submitted by mail if needed. All entries must be *received by email or postmarked by June 30, 2026*. There is no fee to enter.

*Why Participate?*

The winning artwork will be featured as the official 2026 Texas NDEAM poster and may also be highlighted through the Texas HireAbility Campaign [ [link removed] ].

The winning artist and artwork may also be recognized through:


* Display in the Office of the Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities
* Possible inclusion in offsite exhibits and public events
* Recognition at the Lex Frieden Employment Awards [ [link removed] ]
