If this week doesn't show you how much we need to take back the Maine
Legislature, I don't know what will.

After publicly announcing he would not bring back the bill aimed at
ranked-choice voting in Maine's Presidential election, Senate
President Troy Jackson went and did it anyway. Jackson lied and brought
the RCV bill back at the end of a special legislative day, which was
called only for votes on a series of bond bills.

Once again, Troy Jackson sold the people of Maine a huge lie. Even Gov.
Janet Mills didn't want him to bring the bill up.

If the bill goes into effect, local property taxpayers will be on the
hook to pay for massive new election spending. Democratic leaders have
admitted they don't have a way to pay for it. So much for the Democrat
claims they want to help lower property taxes.

This is a sad example of what our government has become under one-party
rule.

Welfare benefits for illegal immigrants are handed out as emergency
measures while a nursing home funding bill hangs in limbo.

Virtually all of Maine's available funds were spent on an $8 billion
state budget loaded with giveaways to special interests, but our roads
and bridges didn't receive a penny of the new spending.

Instead, Democrats say we have to borrow to fix our roads.

Legislative Democrats, led by Senate President Troy Jackson and Speaker
Sara Gideon have rammed through one radical piece of legislation after
another. They have spent the cupboard so bare that we have to borrow to
fix basic infrastructure.

Because they elected their own "people" to our constitutional offices,
there are no checks and balances in Augusta.

There is one way to fix all of this - elect Republican majorities in
the Maine Legislature.

We need to end the lies, the extreme legislation and the blatant
disregard for the traditions and values of Maine people.

Right now, today, we have a new way for you to chip in.

This link will take you to a form where you can chip in any amount,
right now, and it will be split between the three teams working
day-and-night to take Augusta back.
[link removed] By chipping in right now
, you will be showing the Maine GOP,
and the House and Senate Republicans that you have our backs. Today, you
can send a message that you want conservative leadership and that
you're willing to be the change Augusta needs. We must hold Democrats
accountable and vote them out next year!

Thank you for all that you do.

Sincerely,

Dr. Demi Kouzounas
